Summary
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant, event and catering operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, driving sales and profitability, and fostering a strong, motivated team culture. This position requires a hands-on leader with proven management skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. GM will report to the President and Board of Directors, and will attend all quarterly Board meetings to give a restaurant department report.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the management team and hourly staff.
- Oversee daily operations including opening/closing, scheduling, and shift management.
- Ensure excellent guest experiences through consistent quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Monitor and manage both food and beverage costs, labor, and operational costs to meet or exceed goals.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Oversee preventative building maintenance scheduling, and make recommendations for upkeep needed.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent.
- Execute marketing and promotional initiatives to drive traffic and sales.
- Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain inventory control, vendor relationships, and supply ordering.
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of restaurant management experience (GM experience preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze P&L statements, and control costs
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule
