“Vibrant, detailed, and extraordinary.” These are words that sum up the future of events at Signatures according to our new Event Coordinator Kaylee Pye. Twenty-two and a Spring 2020 graduate from Winona State University with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Individualized Studies, Kaylee brings a fresh outlook to events at Signatures.
When asked about how she started this position, she laughed and said “I guess I kind of just stumbled into it.” Starting in the Grill as a server and needing an internship desperately, she ended up in the role of an Event Assistant in Fall of 2019. When graduation came around that spring she decided to take an interim position covering for the Event Coordinator who was on maternity leave. After a lot of ups and downs, a brief intermission working in sales, she wound up back at Signatures, this time as the official Event Coordinator.
Taking part in her client’s special day is Kaylee’s favorite thing about working in events. “Weddings are truly magical; I mean it’s one of the most important days of a couple’s lives together. I have the honor of planning it with them down to the last detail, as well as getting to see how their love transforms the space into a day they’ll hopefully remember and cherish forever. While it can be stressful, like any other job, at the end of the day I find it so rewarding. It truly is where my heart lies,” Kaylee says.
The best piece of advice when it comes to planning an event that Kaylee likes to remind people of is, “Give yourself enough time to do the planning, especially for weddings. Do your research, use wedding timelines, communicate, and don’t wait until the last minute because deadlines can sneak up fast!”
Kaylee and the rest of the team here at Signatures are dedicated to exceptional service across the board, “You deserve to feel like the only client, and we genuinely want your event to be just as successful as you do.” Book your event today!
